NPP communicator Jennifer Oppong praises Mahama, criticises former Akufo-Addo administration

A member of the New Patriotic Party’s National Communication Team, Jennifer Oppong, has sparked intense political discussions online after publicly praising President John Dramani Mahama and criticizing the previous NPP administration.

In a social media post that has since gone viral, Jennifer Oppong described President Mahama as a hardworking leader determined to leave a lasting legacy. According to her, “John Dramani Mahama can be called anything but not lazy,” adding that his current leadership reflects commitment and purpose.

She further took a swipe at the previous administration led by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, questioning the outcomes of the “Ghana Beyond Aid” agenda and blaming economic hardships on what she described as poor management under the former government.

Her comments have generated widespread reactions across social media, especially because they come from a known member of the NPP’s communication machinery.
