Accra Circuit Court has Remanded NPP’s Baba Amando Over Alleged False Publication
The Accra Circuit Court has remanded Baba Amando, a member of the New Patriotic Party, for two weeks over allegations of false publication.
The court’s decision has drawn reactions from party officials and supporters, including Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin and the party’s National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye, who were present at the court premises alongside other members.
Legal counsel for Baba Amando, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, who also serves as Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, criticised the ruling. He expressed strong dissatisfaction with the remand order, arguing that the decision was unfair and excessive.
The court’s directive means Baba Amando will remain in custody for two weeks while investigations and further proceedings continue.
