Haruna Iddrisu Rejects NDC Flagbearership Posters, Describes Them as Fake
The Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, has distanced himself from campaign posters circulating on social media suggesting he intends to contest the flagbearership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a statement issued by his office, the posters were described as fake and misleading, stressing that they did not originate from Mr. Iddrisu or any of his authorised representatives.
“These posters are not from Hon. Haruna Iddrisu or his office in any form. They are false and should be disregarded entirely,” the statement emphasised.
The Office further urged the public to treat the materials with the utmost contempt and cautioned against the spread of misinformation that could mislead party supporters and the general public.
According to the statement, Mr. Iddrisu remains fully focused on his responsibilities as Minister for Education and as the elected representative for Tamale South. It noted that he is currently in Lusaka, Zambia, accompanying President John Dramani Mahama on official engagements.
“The Minister is actively working with His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama to advance the Reset Ghana agenda, particularly within the education sector, which has been entrusted to him by the President,” the statement said.
The statement concluded by expressing appreciation to the public for their continued support and cooperation, while reaffirming Mr. Iddrisu’s commitment to his national duties and service.
