“One NDC, One Purpose” — Engr Yaw Ansah Faisal Backs Gbande’s Call for Stakeholder Conclave to Strengthen Party-Government Unity

The Constituency Secretary for Tano North, Engr Yaw Ansah Faisal, has thrown his full support behind Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Mustapha Gbande, describing his call for a stakeholder conclave as both timely and necessary to strengthen unity within the party and government.

According to Engr Faisal, the relationship between the NDC as a political party and the NDC government must be strengthened to safeguard the mandate entrusted to the party by Ghanaians. He noted that growing concerns among grassroots organizers and party structures cannot be ignored if the party seeks to sustain its electoral victories and effectively deliver on campaign promises.

He explained that Mr. Gbande’s proposal for a broad stakeholder conclave would create an important platform for party executives, Members of Parliament, regional and district officers, as well as grassroots structures, to openly discuss challenges affecting coordination within the party.

Engr Faisal emphasized that such engagements are critical in identifying communication gaps, addressing grievances, and building a united front toward governance and future electoral success.

“The grassroots remain the engine of the NDC,” he stated, stressing that branch and constituency executives continue to play a central role in mobilizing support, engaging voters, and defending government policies at the community level.

He warned that when grassroots structures feel disconnected from government decision-making processes, morale declines and the collective strength of the party weakens.

The Tano North Constituency Secretary further noted that unity between the party and government must go beyond rhetoric, insisting that practical coordination and aligned messaging are essential for sustaining governance and maintaining public trust.

Engr Yaw Ansah Faisal therefore called on all stakeholders within the NDC to rally behind the initiative and recommit themselves to the shared vision and objectives of the party.

He concluded that a united NDC remains the strongest path toward protecting the party’s achievements and advancing national development under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama.
