VIDEO: “Past Mistakes Will Not Be Repeated” — Chairman Wontumi Seeks Fresh Mandate as NPP National Chairman

Aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has acknowledged past shortcomings while pledging a renewed leadership approach ahead of the party’s internal elections.

Speaking during an engagement with party faithfuls in the Central Region, Chairman Wontumi admitted that mistakes were made in the past but stressed that his experiences in opposition have reshaped his leadership outlook.

“I admit mistakes were made in the past. The pain and torment I have gone through in opposition have humbled me and taught me hard lessons. Those mistakes will not be repeated; it won’t happen again,” he stated.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party said the period outside political power has provided him with valuable lessons about unity, strategy, and effective party management. According to him, the challenges faced during opposition have strengthened his resolve to build a more cohesive and disciplined party structure.

Chairman Wontumi used the meeting to rally grassroots supporters, emphasizing the need for unity and renewed commitment as the NPP prepares for future political contests. He assured party members that his leadership would prioritize inclusiveness, grassroots empowerment, and stronger internal coordination.

His declaration forms part of a nationwide engagement tour aimed at outlining his vision and winning support from delegates ahead of the party’s national executive elections.
