New Patriotic Party Support Drops to 25% as National Democratic Congress Rises to 46% in March 2026 Tracking Poll – Global InfoAnalytics

A new face-to-face tracking poll conducted in March 2026 by Global InfoAnalytics indicates a significant shift in party affiliation trends, with support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) declining while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) records notable gains.

According to the data, prior to the 2024 general elections, 37% of respondents identified with the NPP compared to 33% for the NDC. However, the latest March 2026 figures show only 25% of voters now openly associating with the NPP, while support for the NDC has risen sharply to 46%.

The poll further highlights an even wider gap in key swing regions Greater Accra, Central and Western where only 22% of respondents identified with the NPP, compared to 58% who aligned with the NDC.

Analysts say the figures suggest the opposition party is currently facing a difficult political environment following its internal primaries and recent public debate surrounding cocoa pricing and related economic concerns. These developments appear to have influenced public sentiment in several politically competitive regions.

The latest tracking results have also sparked renewed discussion among political observers about the challenges confronting the NPP and the strategies it may need to adopt to rebuild public confidence and regain momentum ahead of future electoral contests.

The poll’s release forms part of ongoing efforts by researchers to monitor shifts in voter identification and political attitudes, which remain key indicators of Ghana’s evolving democratic landscape.
