Asiedu Nketia Leads NDC Flagbearer Race but Gap Narrows — Global InfoAnalytics Poll

Johnson Asiedu Nketia remains in the lead in the race for the flagbearer position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), but his margin is shrinking, according to a new poll by Global InfoAnalytics.

The survey, shared by the firm’s Executive Director Mussa Dankwah on Monday, April 13, 2026, shows that Asiedu Nketia continues to top the “top-of-the-mind” baseline survey, though competition is intensifying.

In the latest results, Asiedu Nketia secured 29 percent support, followed by Cassiel Ato Forson with 19 percent. Haruna Iddrisu polled 11 percent, while Julius Debrah and Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang each recorded 8 percent.

About 24 percent of respondents remain undecided, highlighting the fluid nature of the contest.

The poll also showed that in Week 1, Asiedu Nketia led with 28 percent, with a larger undecided bloc of 36 percent. The reduction in undecided voters appears to have contributed to the narrowing gap between the frontrunner and other contenders.

Analysts say the findings indicate that while Asiedu Nketia remains ahead, growing support for other potential candidates could reshape the race as the party moves closer to the 2028 elections
