Patricia Asiedua Asiamah Released After Serving Eight Months in Prison
Former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has been freed from the Nsawam Prison after spending eight months behind bars.
She has reunited with her husband and family following her release. Her husband, Asiamah, announced her return in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, expressing gratitude and joy over her homecoming.
Nana Agradaa is also scheduled to meet with members of her church later in the day for a fellowship gathering, which will mark her first public appearance since her release.
She was originally handed a 15-year prison sentence on July 3, 2025, after being found guilty of defrauding by false pretence and engaging in charlatanic advertisement. However, her lawyers appealed the ruling, arguing that the punishment was too severe.
After a review, the Amasaman High Court reduced the sentence to 12 calendar months, describing the earlier judgment as excessive.
Her release comes under Ghana’s remission policy, having completed two-thirds of the revised sentence.
