Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang Urges Women to Reject Bias and Stereotypes in Public Service
The Vice President of Ghana, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has encouraged women working in the public sector to stand firm against prejudice and long-standing societal stereotypes that impede their progress.
She urged female public servants to prioritise both personal and professional growth, stressing that continuous development will enable them to play meaningful roles in national development.
Addressing participants at the Second Annual Conference for Women in Leadership in the Public Sector on Wednesday, February 18, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang advised women to remain determined, confident, and purpose-driven in their careers.
She called on them to challenge bias with courage and clarity, build strong professional networks, seek mentorship, share knowledge, and refine their strategic skills.
According to the Vice President, women who strengthen their expertise and excel in their fields will position themselves as indispensable contributors to the country’s progress.
