Mahama Care Donates Two Dialysis Machines to Sunyani Teaching Hospital to Boost Specialist Healthcare

The Sunyani Teaching Hospital has received a major boost to its healthcare services following the donation of two dialysis machines from the Ghana Medical Trust Fund Secretariat, popularly known as Mahama Care.

The machines were officially presented on Friday morning by Obobia Darko-Opoku, Administrator of Mahama Care, to support specialist-level treatment at the facility.

The new dialysis machines are expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to treat patients suffering from a range of chronic and life-threatening conditions, including cancers, cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney failure and stroke.

Receiving the equipment, management of the hospital expressed appreciation to the government and the Mahama Care initiative for the intervention, noting that the equipment will improve patient care and expand the hospital’s ability to provide advanced medical treatment.

They also conveyed profound gratitude to John Dramani Mahama for what they described as a timely and impactful intervention aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery in the Bono Region.

Hospital authorities further expressed optimism about the expected arrival of additional medical equipment in the near future, which they believe will further bolster healthcare services and elevate the status of the Sunyani Teaching Hospital as a key referral facility in the region.

The donation forms part of ongoing efforts by Mahama Care to support healthcare institutions across the country with essential medical equipment to improve access to quality treatment for patients.
