“I’m Not Behind Wontumi’s Arrest, I Could Reveal More if I Speak” — Edward Kwesi Akuoko
Former General Manager of Akonta Mining, Edward Kwesi Akuoko, has denied any involvement in the arrest of Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
Akuoko stated that claims linking him to Wontumi’s arrest are unfounded, insisting he played no role in the matter. However, he hinted that he possesses further information that could shed more light on issues surrounding the case.
“I am not the cause of Wontumi’s arrest. If I decide to speak, there will be more exposé,” he warned.
His comments come amid growing public interest and speculation over the circumstances that led to the arrest of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.
Akuoko’s statement suggests there may be deeper developments yet to emerge, as he signals a willingness to disclose more details if necessary.
The situation continues to attract national attention, with many awaiting further clarification from key figures involved.
