Hardship is no reason to undermine your party, Asiedu Nketiah warns NDC faithful
Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has appealed to party faithful in the Zabzugu Constituency to remain committed even in the face of growing frustrations, stressing that internal dissatisfaction should never lead to actions that weaken the party’s administration.
The appeal was made on Tuesday, May 19, during a meeting with constituency executives and members, where concerns were raised about limited job opportunities and delays in accessing expected political benefits under the current government.
Addressing the gathering, he acknowledged the grievances but urged supporters to be patient, explaining that political benefits are not distributed at the same time for everyone. According to him, opportunities rotate, and while some individuals may benefit earlier, others will receive theirs in due time.
To reinforce his message, he contrasted the situation with the opposition, referencing Mahamudu Bawumia and questioning whether frustrated members would gain better prospects by abandoning the NDC for another political administration.
He emphasised that the difficulties supporters may be experiencing under the current government are still better than taking steps that undermine the party’s stability or weaken its ability to fulfil its mandate. He concluded that unity and patience remain essential for achieving the party’s long-term goals.
