Bryan Acheampong Emerging as a Major Political Player – Stephen Amoah
Nhyiaeso MP Stephen Amoah describes Bryan Acheampong as a rising political force after his impressive performance in the NPP presidential primaries.
Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr Stephen Amoah, has described Dr Bryan Acheampong as a rising force within Ghana’s political landscape following his performance in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.
Speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Monday, February 2, Dr Amoah said Dr Acheampong’s showing in the contest came as no surprise, citing key elements that influence political success.
According to him, strong financial backing, solid networks, and effective personal strategy are essential in political contests — areas in which Dr Acheampong demonstrated notable strength.
“He had all three working for him, so I’m not surprised at all,” Dr Amoah stated, adding that political outcomes can shift depending on circumstances.
He stressed that Dr Acheampong should be regarded as a formidable political figure in the coming years.
Dr Amoah further noted that Dr Acheampong strategically positioned himself between leading contenders Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong by promoting messages of peace and unity.
He explained that such an approach likely appealed to party delegates and observers, contributing to his strong performance.
Dr Acheampong secured 36,303 votes, representing 18.53 percent of the total votes cast in the recently concluded NPP presidential primaries.
