Sunyani-Kumasi Road to begin under phase two of the 'Big Push' - Road Minister
The minister of roads and highways has reassured the people of Sunyani of the construction of the Sunyani-Kumasi road in the shortest possible time.
As part of the President’s regional tour to the Bono Region, the minister of Roads and Highways visited Sky fm to address issues concerning roads in the region.
In addressing a question raised by a listener on the state of the Sunyani-Kumasi road, Hon. Kwame Governs Agodza stated that “the government has already considered the construction of the Sunyani-Kumasi road and the project will begin soon as part of the phase two of the government’s big push agenda ”
The Big Push is a major 2025–2028 Ghanaian infrastructure initiative launched by President Mahama, aimed to transform road networks, create sustainable jobs and accelerate economic growth.
It focuses on nation wide road projects, urban highways and rural feeder roads across all 16 regions
The minister called on contractors not to abandon the projects started by the erstwhile government but rather continue and construct roads that can withstand the test of time.
