Sunyani East MP cuts sod for mechanized boreholes at Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery Training College
The Member of Parliament for Sunyani East Constituency in the Bono Region, Hon. Seid Mubarak, has cut sod for the construction of two new mechanised borehole at the Sunyani nursing and Midwifery training college to address the school’s perennial water shortage struggles.
The MP, Hon. Seid Mubarak in an interview with the media said the drilling of the mechanized borehole was a fulfillment of a promise to the students and school management during a visit to the institution.
Speaking to briefly to the media, the MP said the projects when completed will tackle the perennial acute water problem at the Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery Training College.
This gesture he said, will significantly improve the learning environment and overall well-being of the students and staff.
The MCE of the Sunyani Municipal Assembly, Hon. Vincent Antwi Agyei commended the MP for his initiatives in drilling boreholes to alleviate water scarcity in the area.
He added that together with the MP, they have distributed street lights to the school to enhance campus security to support learning activities at night.
The Principal of the Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Patience Nawani commended the MP for the facility saying it will address the critical water needs of the institution.
