MP Hajia Zuwera Joins Easter Picnic, Promotes Unity and Environmental Responsibility in Salaga

The Member of Parliament for the Salaga-South Constituency, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, joined Christian residents in Salaga for their annual Easter picnic held at the Catholic Church grounds.

The event, which formed part of the Easter celebrations, brought together members of the community in a moment of reflection, fellowship, and shared faith. Participants enjoyed a variety of local dishes, engaging games, and inspiring messages centered on love, unity, and spiritual growth.

In her brief address, Hon. Hajia Zuwera commended the Church for its steadfast commitment to the teachings of the Word of God. She emphasized the importance of love for one another, noting that such values remain central to the Christian faith. “At the heart of our faith is the call to love our neighbours as ourselves. Through sharing, we worship God, touch lives, and receive abundant blessings,” she stated.

She further encouraged the congregation to uphold these values as they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The MP also used the opportunity to highlight the importance of environmental protection, urging residents to remain conscious of their role in addressing climate change.

As part of her support for the event, Hon. Hajia Zuwera donated cooked food, assorted drinks, and bottled water to ensure the success of the picnic.

She expressed gratitude to the Church for the warm reception and described the occasion as a memorable part of her Easter celebration, while invoking blessings upon the constituency.
